José Ángel joined the firm in 2014 after starting his professional career at a Spanish law firm. In 2018, he worked as an international associate in the New York office of an international law firm, where he participated in US and cross‑border M&A and capital markets transactions, with a particular focus on Latin American matters.

Since joining the firm in 2014, José Ángel has developed extensive experience advising national and international clients on a wide range of corporate and real estate transactions. His practice includes structuring real estate investments and divestments, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, the acquisition and transfer of real estate assets, sale‑and‑leaseback arrangements, leases, developments, forward funding transactions, and matters relating to the hotel and leisure sector. He has also advised investment funds, REITs, insurance companies, developers and financial institutions on complex transactional and regulatory matters. In addition to his transactional work, José Ángel has academic experience, having taught on the Master’s Degree for Access to the Legal Profession at Universidad Carlos III (particularly in Real Estate Law) and on the Master’s in International Relations and Foreign Trade at ISDE, where he lectured on “Negotiating Complex M&A”. He also contributes regularly to financial and legal publications.
