Rafael Fernández is a partner of Pérez-Llorca’s Insurance and Reinsurance practice area. Prior to this, Rafael worked in the Insurance and Reinsurance areas in two highly prestigious international firms.

Rafael has over 15 years of experience advising insurance sector clients on major transactions, including M&A and cross-border portfolio transfers. He also advises on underwriting transactional risk insurance and regulatory matters such as distribution structures and governance. His litigation work includes liability claims and coverage disputes. Rafael has served as Secretary and Vice-Secretary for insurance entities in Spain and Luxembourg, and has held legal roles at MIGA and Swiss Re Europe
