Erling Opdal is a partner at Ræder Bing and one of Norway’s most experienced practitioners within restructuring and insolvency. He has more than 30 years of experience in bankruptcy administration, restructuring processes and related corporate matters, and is admitted to appear before the Supreme Court of Norway.

He is regularly appointed by the Oslo District Court as trustee and administrator in complex and high-profile bankruptcy estates, and also serves as chair of creditors’ committees and in judicial investigations and debt negotiations.

Erling is widely recognised for his pragmatic and commercially focused approach and is a trusted adviser in complex and sensitive situations involving multiple stakeholders.

In addition to his practice, he contributes to the development of insolvency law as editor for bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring law in Gyldendal Rettsdata, and is a frequent commentator in national media.
