Kristian Østberg is a partner at Ræder Bing and a key member of the firm’s shipping and marine insurance practice. He has extensive experience in shipping law, with a particular focus on dispute resolution.

He advises Norwegian and international clients on a broad range of maritime matters, including salvage, cargo recovery claims, vessel arrests, marine insurance disputes, shipbuilding contracts and charterparty issues. He is regularly involved in complex and high-value disputes, including matters concerning the interpretation of P&I cover and liability issues.

Kristian brings valuable industry insight from his previous in-house role with the shipbuilder STX/Vard, providing him with a strong commercial understanding of shipbuilding projects and maritime operations.
