David Trachsel has been a Counsel at Thouvenin since 2026. 

His practice focuses on international and national litigation and arbitration. He advises and represents companies and private individuals at all stages of the dispute resolution process, with a focus on complex contractual, corporate and enforcement disputes. His experience covers post-M&A, joint venture and shareholder disputes as well as disputes in the insurance, sports and real estate industry. In addition, he regularly represents clients in proceedings for interim measures, enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards and cross-border asset tracing. David Trachsel has a particular focus on bankruptcy and insolvency related litigation, on which he has written a doctoral thesis.
