Career
Nigel is a founding partner of Fox Williams LLP and a lead partner in the firm’s technology and data protection group.
He helps clients navigate the complex world of technology, data and online business. His work covers business contracts, technology agreements (including software development, licensing, cloud and SaaS), data protection and privacy, intellectual property, and online compliance. Nigel’s focus is on giving clear, practical advice and drafting accessible contracts that help clients achieve their commercial goals.
He works with a wide range of clients, from global professional and financial services firms to fintechs, tech vendors, start-ups and entrepreneurs. Many of his clients are based in the US, Canada and Israel, and he heads the firm’s Israel Desk.
Nigel has long been recognised as a leader in technology law. He is a Fellow and past Chair of the UK Society for Computers & Law, and is accredited by the Society as a Leading IT Lawyer.
He is also a past President of the International Federation of Computer Law Associations, a member of the US iTechLaw Association, and a Certified Information Privacy Professional / Europe (CIPP/E) under the International Association of Privacy Professionals. He is a regular speaker at international conferences on technology and data law.
Nigel is ranked by the Lexology Index as both a Thought Leader and a Recommended lawyer in Data and Information Technology.
