Richard has been a Partner in the Commercial Property team for ten years this year and has been the Head of the team for over two years.

Richard specialises in the sale, purchase and leasing of commercial property with experience in high value transactions and secured lending work. Property deal values typically range from £1 million - £5 million, though deal values continue to grow, and Richard has acted in numerous property transactions in recent years in the region of £20 million (including both individual property transactions and transactions involving property portfolios), which are not common in the Lancashire market.

Richard has experience across various sectors including manufacturing and office developments.

He is experienced in acting for commercial developers and homebuilders in the acquisition of development sites. Richard supports the development of junior solicitors and other staff within the team. Richard was a non-executive director of Chorley F.C. for over three years, working with the board of directors and management in matters such as commercial activities, compliance and legal matters, development of stadium facilities and community initiatives including youth football and social inclusion, and continues to assist the club with legal matters.
