Career
Mert Tezcan, after obtaining his attorney’s licence in 2015, has been heavily practicing in court proceedings arising out of commercial, employment, consumer, real estate, insurance and intellectual property disputes to represent his clients from all over the world. Mert is involved in all stages of a lawsuit, from attending hearings to preparing and drafting statements. He also has a significant experience in negotiation and mediation proceedings. Mert is currently the team leader of the Litigation Team in OGB.
He has an LL.M. degree from Sussex University, UK in 2019. During his masters, he concentrated on Transnational Commercial Law, International Trade Regulations and International Corporate Law; his dissertation focused on piercing the corporate veil concept in Turkey and UK Jurisdiction. He also worked with the commercial litigation team at DWF’s London Office and had a chance to assist DWF solicitors on international commercial disputes when he was in the UK for his LL.M.
