Ben Rapinoja
Partner Ben Rapinoja is a renowned litigator in patent, trademark and intellectual property matters in Finland and an expert in the field of intellectual property, technology law and Market Court proceedings. Ben advises on contractual and licensing arrangements, brands and marketing law related matters, commercial disputes, and corporate transactions in electronics and high-tech industries. His expertise also covers legal issues related to the pharmaceutical industry, health technology and life science sectors. Ben has extensive experience in patent and intellectual property litigation as well as in contractual disputes and arbitration proceedings concerning ICT and high-tech companies.
Ben heads the firm’s Intellectual Property team.

Lasse Laaksonen
Partner Lasse Laaksonen specialises in both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property and technology law. He has wide-ranging experience in litigation and strategic contractual issues, such as outsourcing, procurement and licensing. Lasse’s practice has a strong emphasis on contentious work having acted as a lead counsel in a number of high-profile patent, trademark, unfair competition and competition cases. In addition, Lasse has acted as a lead counsel in a number of significant arbitral proceedings with a link in IP or technology issues. Lasse heads the firm’s IP & Commercial team.

Jemina Bonsdorff
Jemina advises our clients on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters as well as in the fields of technology and commercial contracts.
Jemina regularly assists well-known brand owners and clients with the drafting of commercial agreements, brand protection and licensing as well as other commercial matters related to e.g. e-commerce, marketing and consumer laws. She is also well versed in copyright matters.
During her career, Jemina has gained significant experience in IP litigation and arbitration, having assisted our clients in several high-profile cases involving trademarks, copyright, patents, unfair business practices and trade secrets both before the Finnish Market Court and higher courts. She regularly advises our clients on and represents them in infringement and revocation actions, preliminary injunction proceedings and actions for damages.
Jemina’s expertise also covers regulatory matters, particularly those relating to pharmaceuticals and medical devices as well as foodstuffs. She has also been involved in several M&A transactions where she provided advice on issues related to IP, IT and commercial contracts.

Sha Wang
Counsel Sha Wang is a native Chinese speaker and is a member of the PRC Bar Association as well as being an experienced corporate lawyer in Finland. Sha advices clients on M&A, general corporate law related matters, as well as on intellectual property related questions. Being a native Chinese speaker with in-depth understanding and wide experience of cross-cultural cooperation, Sha especially advices the firm’s Chinese clients and international clients with legal matters relating to China.
Sha heads the firm’s China desk.

Samuli Simojoki
Partner Samuli Simojoki advises companies in different fields of media and technology, including a variety of technology and media related transactions. He has wide experience on intellectual property rights and technology law. Samuli also handles a variety of assignments related to privacy and telecoms, as well as ICT outsourcing transactions.
Samuli heads the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications team.

Wilma Kivilä
Wilma advises clients on all areas of intellectual property and technology law, including regulatory matters, commercial contracts and data protection. She specialises in patent and other intellectual property litigation and has experience especially in the fields of pharmaceuticals and life sciences.

Louna Taskinen
Louna advises clients primarily on technology and data protection matters.
Louna joined Borenius in 2017, and before that she worked as a specialist in a Finnish company focusing on data protection and privacy. During her studies, Louna worked for several years as a trainee in an international software services company.
Louna holds a professional certificate on privacy and data protection (CIPP/E).

Erkko Korhonen
Partner Erkko Korhonen advises clients on various technology transactions and arrangements, including ICT projects, outsourcing and cloud implementation. He also advises clients on issues relating to data economy as well as data protection and privacy in general (especially relating to GDPR compliance and e-privacy matters) in addition to e-commerce, telecommunications, media and marketing and consumer laws and practices. Erkko has been involved in several IP/ICT/data driven M&A transactions, including advising clients on complex carve-out and separation arrangements and transitional services.
