Uría Menéndez has been playing an active role for over 17 years in Latin America. The firm has established offices in the main jurisdictions, including Chile, Mexico, Colombia and Peru, together with a well-recognized network of law firms. Uría Menéndez has consolidated its commitment to Latin America by becoming part of the first major Latin American law firm: Philippi, Prietocarrizosa, Ferrero DU & Uria. The new firm has 400 lawyers and started operating in January 2015, after the merger between the leading law firms in Chile and Colombia, two of the most dynamic economies in Latin America.
