Maria Fahland is an ACAMS Certified Global Sanctions Specialist with extensive experience advising clients on all aspects of sanctions.

Her experience in this field includes ensuring sanctions' compliance of senior managers, preparing sanctions' risk matrices and contingency plans, establishing sanctions' compliance programmes, leading sanctions' due diligence, and advising on sanctions' laws relevant for cross-border transactions.

Maria also has substantial experience in M&As, structuring of investments, joint ventures and start-up financing.

Maria holds a law degree from the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University and an executive MBA from the University of Oxford.
