Donal O'Raghallaigh graduated from University College Dublin (BCL) in 1992and qualified in 1996. He is currently a Partner in the Construction group at McCann FitzGerald LLP. Donal is a highly experienced commercial real estate lawyer with a proven track record advising on major property transactions for Irish and international investors, local authorities, developers, lenders, tenants, and receivers. He has particular expertise in supporting public bodies on PPP projects, compulsory purchase schemes, and complex property matters, bringing a nuanced understanding of the political and public pressures that often accompany such transactions.
He regularly advises lenders on some of the market’s most significant development financing deals, with a strong focus on structuring large and complex transactions to ensure they are fully “bankable.” Donal has also developed deep expertise in insolvency‑related real estate matters, frequently acting for insolvency practitioners on the disposal of property assets.
