Career
Amy Brick graduated from University of Limerick (Law and European Studies) in 2007 and University College Dublin (LLM) in 2008 and qualified in 2013. Amy trained with McCann FitzGerald LLP and is currently a Partner at the firm. She has particular experience in contentious matters with a regulatory, public law or economic aspect, having been centrally involved in acting for a number of regulators in cases concerning challenges to regulatory decisions, supervisory and enforcement actions and investigations, in particular acting for a number of regulators across different industries, including the Data Protection Commissioner.
As part of her work on complex commercial and regulatory disputes, Amy often advises on data issues which arise in the context of litigation such as data protection and the protection of commercial sensitive information, as well as also increasingly advising on data protection disputes and investigations more generally, particularly since the introduction in 2018 of the GDPR.
