DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
Our group of lawyers comprises a diverse group of people, each with their own strengths and requirements. More than half - exactly 51% - of our employees are women, and among our senior attorneys and directors the share of women is 50%. We work towards having even more women in top management and recently admitted two women to our group of equity partners. We have 25 female and male part-time employees, and our employees may choose to work flexible hours that suit them best. For example, leaving work after lunch to pick up children or go for a run and then work again in the evening. Or working a four-day work week by delivering on all their work hours over the course of four intense days and then taking a day off (with full pay). A four-day work week can be implemented for shorter or longer periods of time (for example for just one week or over the course of six months). Our employees can also choose to work from other locations than the office. For example, working from home or a holiday cabin for up to 2 days per week.
In addition, we do our best to accommodate employees with special needs. Please visit our website for further (danish) info: Sundhed og balance (kromannreumert.com)
For young employees, we offer the opportunity to participate in Kromann Reumert’s mentorship programme, where they choose a mentor within our organization. Employees at each career level in our organization are offered the opportunity to be part of a personal and professional development programme. We also invite our associates to be part of a transition programme to prepare them for their future role as attorneys.
The vast majority of our mothers and fathers take both paternal and parental leave in connection with childbirth. We have parenthood conversations to align expectations that naturally arise and change following family expansion. Topics include needs, expectations, roles, motivation, ambitions etc., that sometimes change over the course of family expansion. We also give parents the opportunity to return to work flexible hours following parental leave.
We employ a number of international employees and have a wide range of language skills in the firm. This includes that our partnership includes two non-Danish citizens. We work every day to accommodate this diversity by offering for example in-house courses, home workstations for more than half of our employees, a working environment policy aimed at promoting job satisfaction, and dialogue groups for our attorneys, assistant attorneys and legal secretaries.
According to the Danish Discrimination Act, we are not allowed to register race, skin color, religion or belief, political opinion, sexual orientation or national, social or ethnic origin.
