Massimo Merola
Partner Massimo Merola specialises in EU law, with specific focus on state aid, litigation before EU courts, including preliminary rulings, customs law, state-owned undertakings and public procurement as well as competition law, including mergers, antitrust and abuse of dominance. He represents clients before the European Commission, national authorities and EU courts, as well as provides out-of-court assistance at national and European level to governments, public authorities and blue-chip companies operating in a wide range of sectors.
He is Managing partner of the Brussels office, supervisor of the EU practice and member of the Infrastructure, Energy & Ecological Transition, Environmental Sustainability, Restructuring & Insolvency and Public International Law & Economic Diplomacy Focus Teams. He is also member of the Golden Power Task Force and the Competition Litigation Task Force.
