Jussi Koivusalo advises international and domestic clients on matters relating to all aspects of competition law, public procurement and state aid. His expertise also covers EU law and disputes concerning competition law as well as administrative judicial proceedings.

Jussi Koivusalo has a broad understanding of competition law issues related to mergers and acquisitions as well as horizontal and vertical cooperation, including issues such as information exchange between competitors and the competition law assessment of distribution agreements. Thanks to his work experience, Jussi Koivusalo has an excellent understanding of both the operations of competition authorities and the right ways to interact with them. He has also assisted in several administrative judicial proceedings in the fields of e.g. data protection law and medicines regulation.

Jussi Koivusalo regularly publishes on competition law topics in different channels and trains clients on various competition law compliance topics. He is also pursuing a doctorate in EU competition law focusing on the interplay between EU competition law and the EU’s other policy objectives at the University of Helsinki.
