Lorenz Pracht is a ‘home grown’ attorney and spent his entire time as an associate and as an attorney at CERHA HEMPEL since he joined the firm in 2008. He was appointed as partner in 2019 and has become a key member in our firm’s M&A practice. He has profound experience in complex cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures and capital markets law. He has advised numerous large national and international corporate clients in complex M&A projects, joint ventures and on capital markets law. Moreover, he advises several publicly listed Austrian companies on corporate law.

Furthermore, he spent more than two years at one of Austria’s largest listed industrial companies, which contributed to making him a specialist in energy law matters. In addition, he frequently lectures on M&A and capital market disclosure requirements.

Lorenz on top holds an LL.M. in International Tax Law of the Department of Austrian and International Tax law of the Vienna University of Economics and is one of the very few Austrian attorneys-at-law who hold this degree, as every year only 1-2 Austrian students are admitted to this program.
