Position

Shane is a partner in our Construction and Engineering Group

Shane specialises in non-contentious construction law, predominantly advising developers, institutional investors, funders, owner occupiers and tenants on major development projects.

Career

As part of the Chambers Band 1 and Legal 500 Tier 1-ranked group, he has also advised Irish and non-Irish contractors (particularly M&E contractors) on the expansion of their operations beyond Ireland and across Europe. Shane has substantial experience with a range of standard form contracts, including NEC4, JCT, RIAI and FIDIC, as well as bespoke contracts. Shane has extensive experience across all asset classes with a particular focus on data centres, transport and logistics, offices, PRS and hospitality. Shane is also experienced in advising on the construction aspects of renewable energy projects with a particular focus on biogas and solar projects. Shane’s expertise extends from advising on procurement strategies to drafting and negotiating principal construction contracts and ancillary documentation. Shane practised as a solicitor for over three years in the Construction and Engineering Group at Macfarlanes LLP, London.
