Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uria‘s litigation practice is jointly led by Ramiro Portocarrero and Sebastián Basombrio, who are both skilled in assisting clients in judicial litigation proceedings. Notable areas of expertise for the department include regulatory, constitutional, civil and commercial litigation. The team has also seen recent growth in tax litigation, a practice which has expanded under the joint leadership of Basombrio, Portocarrero and principal associate Karina Urquizo, who is also recommended for her skill in complex commercial and administrative litigation.

The 30-strong litigation team at Rodríguez Angobaldo Abogados is co-led by founding partner Fernando Rodriguez Angobaldo and seasoned litigator Jaime Heredia. In a headline mandate, the team is advising Scotiabank Perú on 110 lawsuits relating to civil, commercial and consumer protection issues, while - more broadly - the practice handles matters across a wide range of sectors including regulated areas such as finance, telecoms, healthcare, oil and gas, and mining. It is especially adept at handling controversies in the telecoms infrastructure sector, as showcased by the firm’s recent representation of Telefónica del Peru in an administrative case challenging fines imposed by OSIPTEL.
