Park Square Barristers is committed to implementing and promoting principles of equal opportunities and diversity.

Park Square Barristers recognises the obligations, principles and guidance derived from the Equality Act 2010 and the related Codes of Practice including the Bar Standards Board Equality Rules and Code of Conduct.

We seek to promote respect for fundamental human rights, provide equal opportunities in the workplace, and promote respect for the individual worth of all people associated with PSQB.

To demonstrate this, PSQB has signed up to a number of E&D initiatives in 2021 including “Bridging the Bar” and “10,000 Black Interns” – both projects aimed at increasing diversity at the Bar.

PSQB Deputy Head of Chambers Kama Melly QC won Barrister of the Year at this year’s prestigious Women in Law Awards for her work promoting women at the Bar – and Glenn Parsons is Chairperson of the North Eastern Circuit Diversity outreach programme. Glenn has also written a number of articles for Chambers magazine on BAME issues at the Bar.

We are committed to promoting a work environment and a profession in which everyone is treated equally and treated with dignity – and provide support and training so individuals from all backgrounds can flourish at the Bar.
