Led by David Mortimer, Blake Morgan LLP represents the Medical Protection Society in the defence of clinical negligence claims brought against its members. Praised for his ‘pragmatic and focused advice to clinicians’, Mike Scherp has ‘lots of experience in clinical negligence and medical regulatory matters’, and has ‘a very good understanding of the issues and how they will play out in front of a Tribunal’. Recent work includes successfully defending a complicated clinical negligence claim involving two defendants where each party had instructed three experts to consider the extremely complex causation case and the uncertainty over the cause of death.
