Higgs LLP‘s charity and not-for-profit team offers vast experience in charity law, governance and regulation issues. The practice engages with a range of work throughout the sector, from complex governance issues, disposals of charity land, as well as Charity Commission engagement and work relating to the remuneration of trustees, alongside applications for schemes and orders. Evidencing excellent breadth of knowledge, the group acts for both private and family charitable foundations, as well as corporate foundations. Kirsty McEwen is recognised for her expertise around complex constitutional governance matters, challenging trustee issues, and internal disputes.
