Matt is a partner in the Intellectual Property and Litigation & Dispute Resolution practices, a member of the Emerging Technologies and Life Sciences industry teams, and leader of the Patent Prosecution team. He advises clients on protecting and enforcing intellectual property, with a strategic focus on leveraging IP assets in transactions and litigation.

An experienced commercial litigator, Matt concentrates on patent disputes, including district court trials, PTAB proceedings, and ITC actions. He also handles matters involving agencies such as the FTC and FDA.

Matt counsels clients - from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies - on patent prosecution and related regulatory issues across a broad range of industries, including life sciences, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, AI and software, blockchain, energy technologies, and consumer products.

Before entering private practice, Matt served as a USPTO patent examiner focusing on semiconductor and related technologies, interned for the U.S. Court of Federal Claims on patent matters, and worked as a manufacturing engineer.
