Representing both the ATP Tour, the men’s professional tennis circuit, and the WTA Tour, the women’s professional tennis circuit, on a myriad issues that have faced the tours over the past many years – from transactions involving investments into the ATP and WTA and negotiation of new tournament contracts to a variety of disputes involving players and/or circuit tournaments.
Serving as the lead bankruptcy counsel to Brighton Marine Inc (BMI), a non-for-profit entity that directly contracts with the Department of Defense to provide health care services to approximately 15,000 veterans. In order to administer these health care services, BMI previously contracted with Steward Health Care System LLC, which declared bankruptcy in May 2024. Advised Brighton throughout the Steward bankruptcy and brought a successful adversary proceeding against the debtors obtaining a declaratory judgment that BMI had validly terminated its contract with Steward prior to Steward declaring bankruptcy.
Represents CedarsSinai Medical Center (CSMC), one of the largest nonprofit academic medical centers in the US, in various employment matters. Allegations in these matters include discrimination, wrongful termination, and various violations of FEHA and CFRA, among others.
