Elizabeth Sperling is a litigation partner in Glaser Weil’s San Diego office and co-chair of the Firm's Banking and Financial Services practice. Elizabeth focuses her practice on the representation of financial institutions and other consumer-facing businesses (including in the food and beverage, consumer products, retail, and gaming spaces), real estate companies, property owners and high net worth individuals in high-stakes and consumer litigation. In earning her national Chambers ranking in consumer finance litigation, clients shared that Elizabeth “thinks like the client so she can get a full understanding of the issues,” “carves out clear strategies that make sense,” and “is very strategic in finding the best resolution.”

Elizabeth has extensive trial, arbitration and appellate experience in class actions, business torts, unfair business practices and related consumer protection actions (Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA), Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA)), unfair debt collection practices, loan workouts, state attorneys general investigations and litigation, and products liability and complex toxic tort cases. She also has significant experience representing clients in actions brought under California’s Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA), including defending claims alleging unlawful interception of website communications through tracking technologies such as cookies, pixels and session‑replay tools.
