Mike is a member of the firm’s White Collar + Government Investigations Practice Group, and advises clients on criminal defense, False Claims Act and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act matters, internal corporate investigations, corporate compliance programs, corporate monitorships, and First Amendment matters.

Mike has significant experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device, health care, construction, and government contracting industries. He conducts internal investigations for and defends companies and individuals in trials and litigation regarding sales and marketing practices, the conduct of clinical trials, good manufacturing practices, pricing, the False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) fraud, criminal antitrust, and other issues.

Mike is a sought-after trial attorney, with significant experience trying cases to verdict in federal and state courts.

Previously, Mike headed the Corruption, Civil Rights, Labor, and Tax Fraud unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He successfully prosecuted some of the region’s highest-profile corruption cases, including the electronic surveillance investigation during former Philadelphia Mayor John F. Street’s administration and the corruption prosecutions of former City Treasurer Corey Kemp and former City Councilman Richard Mariano.

Mike is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and involved in a number of community and civic organizations, including the Pennsylvania State Ethics Commission and the Defender Association of Philadelphia.
