Arik is a partner in the Commercial & Public Finance practice group of Thompson Hine LLP.

Arik focuses his practice on public finance in a variety of capacities, including bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, borrower's counsel and credit enhancer's counsel in connection with the issuance of tax-exempt bonds and taxable obligations. His practice includes the financing of facilities for nonprofit and private users, including housing, health care, cultural and manufacturing facilities, which often involve the use of complex derivative products. He also represents real estate developers, municipalities and underwriters in various other forms of public financing transactions, including tax increment and pilot financings. Arik's practice also includes representing the borrowers, who are the equity recipients, and other parties to New Markets Tax Credit transactions and other forms of tax credits.

Arik also focuses on corporate finance and banking, including the representation of lenders and borrowers in connection with the financing of capital projects and working capital loans, and the restructuring and workout of non-performing loans.
