Vinson & Elkins LLP advises leading private equity sponsors on complex, high-value transactions across key sectors, with a standout focus on energy and renewables. Houston’s Sarah Morgan chairs the practice and continues to handle a range of high-value transactions, from capital raises to large-scale leveraged buyouts and spin-offs. Co-head John Grand’s Dallas-based practice is concentrated in the energy sector, particularly in the upstream and midstream, while co-head Jim Fox, who has a similarly energy-focused practice, also covers investments and disposals in transport and industrials from the New York office. Also acting out of New York, Dan Komarek leverages his capabilities in M&A to advise on a host of sponsor-side and portfolio company mandates. Peter Marshall and Robert Hughes also come recommended, operating out of Dallas and Houston, respectively.
