Overseeing the preparation and filing of nonimmigrant visas for professionals, intra-company transferees, and trainees, Fisher Phillips assists clients with the hiring and retention of foreign talent in the United States and securing visas for US workers being transferred abroad. The practice is jointly led by Shanon Stevenson in Atlanta, Jocelyn Campanaro in Denver, and the Memphis-based David Jones. Stevenson is well-versed in I-9 and E-Verify employment compliance, as well as in defending against US Department of Justice discrimination charges brought under the anti-discrimination provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act. Campanaro has broad experience across all areas of business immigration and helps clients develop global mobility strategies, while Jones represents clients in complex immigration benefits and enforcement matters. In 2025, the team expanded its services by launching a rapid response initiative designed to help clients prepare for and navigate unexpected workplace enforcement actions and raids by the US Department of Homeland Security.

  • 'I believe the practice has demonstrated a level of understanding of our industry and technologies that allows for better insights and questions for us and our internal clients.'
  • 'The availability of our assigned partner is without question the most important part of this relationship that differentiates it from any other firm relationship I've had. Shanon is more than a partner or attorney. She has served as a teacher and mentor to me, increasing my knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of the intricacies of immigration more than I had ever imagined possible.'
