Ropes & Gray LLP‘s growing restructuring practice acts for an array of borrower, sponsor and creditor clients in in-court and out-of-court debt restructurings, corporate reorganizations, and liability management transactions for large and middle-market companies. It represented Exactech, a portfolio company of longstanding client TPG Capital, in connection with its Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. Along with its reputation as a private equity heavyweight, the firm is also noted for creditor engagements, including for ad hoc creditor groups and lenders.  The team also includes senior figures Chris Dickerson in Chicago and Gregg Galardi, with Daniel Gwen, Cristine Schwarzman and Matthew Roose also being key figures. Named individuals are based in New York unless stated otherwise. Ryan Preston Dahl and Natasha Hwangpo departed the team in October 2025.
