Regarding infrastructure, the team has a strong track record of securing a broad array of funding and procurement structures, including PPP and PFI models. The department has also become sought after for its renewable energy expertise, from generation, storage and transmission.
Joe Stefano heads up the practice and stands out on deals which involve financing or credit support provided by government agencies.
Robert da Silva Ashley, who divides his time between New York and Miami, is ‘very responsive’ and focuses on complex project finance transactions in the energy sector across North and Latin America. As regional head of finance in Latin America,
Margarita Oliva Sainz de Aja also advises financial institutions and corporations in Latin America, along with the MENA region.
Miriam Figueroa, who operates out of San Juan and New York, has extensive PPP experience. Additionally,
Oliver Wright specializes in project financing transactions in the mining and metals sector.
