Work highlights

Advising the sponsors, Rev-Up Ventures, in connection with the development of a proposed 200 megawatt solar photovoltaic and 800 megawatt hour battery energy storage system (BESS) located in Zambia.
Advidsed The Government of Ethiopia’s recently established Directorate General for Public-Private Partnerships engaged IFC to advise it on (i) two bidding rounds of PV solar projects, (ii) two utility-scale wind projects that will be based on the Scaling Wind platform, and (iii) the development and financing of an additional utility scale solar project. The utility-scale projects will total up to a maximum of 250 MW.
Represented Exus North America Holdings LLC in connection with its acquisition of the Highland North, Twin Ridges, and Patton wind farms, totalling 244MW, from Vitol, as well as related debt and tax equity financings for the three wind farms that are currently being re-powered. Hunton provided holistic advice on the transaction, including with respect to environmental permitting advice, energy regulatory guidance, and real estate issues.
