Bryce Friedman of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP is based in New York and leads the firm’s insurance litigation team and co-leads the business litigation team, with clients valuing his skills in handling a wide variety of insurance disputes and particular focus in the medical industry. Recent work includes the representation of Travelers and Berkshire Hathaway, among other major insurers, in a number of cases relating to alleged Medicare fraud. He is advising Beazley on its seeking of a no coverage ruling, relating to NuMale Medical Center and its role in the largest individual medical malpractice verdict in U.S. history, which it failed to declare to Beazley in its insurance application.
