Barry Berke

Working in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP‘s New York office, Barry Berke is a skilled trial lawyer with experience advising clients on a range of white collar cases, often involving major corporations and governmental entities. As co-chair of the firm’s litigation practice group, he has taken on some of its most significant work, for example representing BNP Paribas in a high-profile human-rights class action suit about secondary-liability claims under Swiss law, defending the bank against allegations of its connections to the Sudanese government and its atrocities in the 1990s and 2000s. Furthermore, he continues to represent Archegos Capital founder Bill Hwang in a major market manipulation case, currently under appeal.
