Work highlights

Won complete summary judgment for Meta in a $156bn antitrust case, defeating claims that users should be paid a “negative price.” The decision, following Meta’s January win denying class certification, is the first district court ruling on antitrust injury for zero-price platforms—reinforcing innovation over pricing.
Secured a defense verdict for the New York Times and its former editor in a libel action brought by former Alaska governor and Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Hired to assist with the re-trial of the case after an earlier verdict was overturned on appeal. The jury found no liability after less than two hours of deliberation.
Represented PayPal in a Hawaii consumer protection suit alleging deceptive practices related to account holds, fraud reimbursement, purchase protection, and privacy disclosures. After taking over mid-discovery, the team closed fact and expert discovery, won key motions, filed for summary judgment, and secured a favorable settlement.
