Michael Lang focuses his practice on complex commercial, bankruptcy, and probate litigation, with extensive experience acting for trustees, beneficiaries of wills and estates, and trust representatives. He regularly advises on high-stakes disputes involving breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, fraud, fraudulent and preferential transfer claims, tortious interference, partnership and shareholder conflicts, theft of trade secrets and confidential information, defamation and business disparagement, unfair competition and antitrust matters, and trademark and trade dress infringement.
Michael has acted in high-value, multi-million-dollar cases in state and federal courts across Texas and throughout the United States, including a widely publicised matter that came before the Supreme Court of the United States in 2014. He has significant experience representing clients across a broad range of sectors, including energy, banking, manufacturing, real estate, private equity, and technology.
Michael’s clients include medium to large corporations, business owners, and families. He is known for his practical and candid counsel, noting, “I take the ‘counsel’ part of my job seriously. I tell clients the pros and the cons and lead them to an informed, rather than an emotional decision.”
