Toremis Specialty is an insurance underwriting firm with a focus on legal risk insurance, including after-the-event (ATE) insurance, contingent risk insurance, and tax disputes. The team is experienced in handling high-profile disputes, as most are former litigators, and their insurance policies are customisable and comprehensive to the situation faced by clients, law firms and litigation funders. Nathan Hull, founder and chief executive officer, is noted for his focus on group actions, contract disputes and structured products and portfolios. Sam Tacey and Will Gay  are senior partners, with Paula Ruffell and Alexandra Plutshack making up the underwriting team. Koosha Kowsari is the firm’s finance director.
