Fielding a ‘very proactive and client-focused team’, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP's oil and gas practice plays an active role in high-value projects and M&A transactions across the Middle East, acting for global asset managers, state-backed entities, and major sponsors in their most complex transactions. The team also draws on the firm’s international platform to advise both lenders and borrowers on project finance and refinancing matters. Co-head Renad Younes continues to act in some of the region’s most significant greenfield and brownfield mandates, particularly for ADNOC and other flagship energy clients. Fellow co-head Marwan Elaraby advises clients on M&A and private equity transactions, as well as governments on strategic and regulatory matters. Samuel Ogunlaja maintains a cross-border practice spanning MENA, with experience across both conventional and renewable energy work, while Andrea Calla remains a key presence supporting the full spectrum of mandates.
