DWF‘s Bristol-based criminal defence team handles a diverse scope of matters ranging from representing individuals in traffic offences, to representing corporate bodies on critical matters including corporate manslaughter to environmental offences. The team is recognised for representing clients throughout the whole process of investigations undertaken by various authorities. Jessica Murphy jointly leads the team and is regularly instructed to provide representation to both individuals and companies in a range of criminal matters, including offences relating to fatal and non-fatal road traffic collisions, incidents and deaths in the workplace, environmental matters and incidents, and deaths in a care setting. Also leading the team, Simon Macfarlane regularly advises and represents Interested Persons at Inquests before the Coroner’s Court.
