The practice group is co-led by experienced partners Sung Won Park, who specialises in disputes involving maritime accidents and bills of lading, and Yoon Jeong Park, a dual-qualified practitioner in England and Wales and New York who, in addition to a contentious and non-contentious practice, is noted for her representation of shipowners in London arbitrations and English court proceedings. Work highlights

Advised POSCO group companies in relation to the hijacking of MV Ruen by Somali pirates and hijacks in the Red Sea.
Advised the shipowner/P&I Club of Tan Binh 127 in Korean limitation proceedings, successfully limiting liability and protecting against foreign claims following the vessel’s sinking near Myanmar.
