Among a broad practice spanning energy-related regulatory and transactional work, Wonchul Nam has been involved in the construction and operation of power plants and the establishment of joint ventures. Seungkyo Lee left the firm in February 2025.

Work highlights

Advised on IIAC’s participation in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport project in the Philippines, including its equity investment, project financing, and advisory role under the OMATS Agreement.

Represented SK Gas in the development of the $855m Korea Energy Terminal, advising on the joint venture with Korea National Oil Corp., incorporation of KET, and all legal aspects of the seven-year public-private project.

Advised Korea East-West Power (EWP) on its provision of guarantees and security in the KRW 1.9 trillion AMAALA solar and ESS project in Saudi Arabia, including negotiation support, regulatory compliance, and cross-border legal opinions for successful project financing.
