Advised and represented W in a complex series of proceedings starting with a final hearing at which assets of over £2m were divided and ongoing spousal maintenance was awarded to our client of £6,000 per month plus school fees. Following the final hearing H opted for redundancy and declared he had no earning capacity – interesting matter that explores capitalisation of income following recent settlement.## INSERTED START: 04-03-2025 04:44:36
Advised and represented H during financial proceedings in a complex matter involving substantial assets in excess of £3m. Matter complicated initially due to arguments over jurisdiction – both parties were Spanish resident and tax domiciled but H opted for divorce in England. Assets existed in both countries including a UK pension so taxation formed a key element.## INSERTED START: 04-03-2025 04:44:37
Representing H in a complex financial remedy matter involving a business and classic cars. There are arguments regarding the treatment of the business, should it be deemed to be an income or a capital asset. The cars are also in dispute due to valuations being widely apart amongst arguments related to the liquidity of them as an asset.
