PLMJ is well placed to advise on the tax aspects of major transactions, including multijurisdictional financing arrangements, corporate restructuring and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, and tokenised assets. In addition to its transactional capabilities, the group also acts for a broad client base, comprised of blue-chip corporates, domestic and international banks, and fast-growing players in the fintech and energy sectors, in tax disputes. The practice is led by Isaque Ramos, whose work centres on transactional tax matters. Dinis Tracana focuses on cross-border transactional structuring, while Ricardo Reigada Pereira is skilled in tax planning and tax controversy cases. Teresa Oliveira Braga left the firm in January 2026.

Advised Cegid Group on the international and Portuguese tax aspects of the acquisition of the Grupo Primavera followed by a complex corporate reorganisation of the Portuguese and Spanish companies of the newly-formed group.
Advised Futebol Clube do Porto on the complex process of reconfiguring the commercial operations of Estádio do Dragão, which included the conclusion of a partnership with Ithaka and the obtaining of long-term financing from North American institutional investors.
