With a focus on operation and maintenance contracts and construction, Cuatrecasas is frequently called upon to advise on regulatory, tax, financial, contractual, and commercial issues. The team has notable experience working with clients in the airport and port, sanitation, and telecoms industries. Practice head Aldo Reggiardo is skilled in project finance, project development, and M&A, with an emphasis on the energy, mining and sanitation sectors. The team also features July 2023 hire Ina Drago (previously of Estudio Echecopar), a natural resource specialist, who focuses on project implementation and operation issues, including permitting, contractual matters, and both administrative and judicial proceedings. Associate Alejandro Zorrilla, whose main strength lies in project finance, is also highlighted. The practice has continued to expand with the arrival of partner Carlos Monteza, an administrative law, public utilities regulation and antitrust specialist who joined the firm from MOAR Abogados in June 2024, and senior associate Jorge Alvarado, who came on board from IBT Group in November 2024, bringing strong experience in regulated-industry projects, concessions, and PPPs.
