Rubio Leguía Normand's expertise spans all stages of mining project development, from early-stage matters including joint ventures, company incorporations and acquisitions, to project execution, including negotiating stability agreements and related contracts work. Mining law expert Xennia Forno  is at the helm of the team, bringing to the table deep experience in obtaining necessary permits for mining projects and commercial, contractual and regulatory matters. Another key practitioner is Miguel Ángel Soto, who contributes comprehensive knowledge in agreement negotiations, corporate operations and investment matters.  Since publication, both Forno and Soto have left the firm (as of December 2025), with the firm subsequently hiring Luis Eduardo Ramírez Patrón as counsel the following month; a 25 year veteran of the sector his past experience includes stints in house at Hochschild Mining and Vale, as well as at an array of regulatory bodies including OSINERGMIN, SENACE, MIDAGRI and MINAM.
