The arbitration department at Muñiz, Olaya, Meléndez, Castro, Ono & Herrera Abogados represents a variety of clients in the public and private sectors, most notably companies from the transport, real estate and construction spaces, in various arbitration disputes. The practice group is co-led by experienced partners Edwin Pezo, who specialises in arbitration related to the oil and gas sectors; and Fernando Meléndez, who has experience in precautionary measures and annulment proceedings before local courts. Claudia Quispe was promoted to the partnership in March 2024 and has experience in complex cases related to construction disputes. The team was further strengthened with the arrival of senior associate Ricardo Montalvo from Rodrigo in July 2024.
