The growing arbitration practice at Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uria adopts a multidisciplinary approach representing clients in a range of sectors, including mining, energy, construction and corporate disputes. With experience in international, commercial and investment arbitrations conducted under the rule of ICC and ICSID, the practice is led by Sebastián Basombrio, who has extensive experience in arbitrations in the energy, infrastructure and financial sectors. Counsel Leysser Leon has experience in dispute prevention and representing companies in dispute resolution. The key name to note at associate level is David Cueva, who has experience in negotiation and disputes in the construction sector. Ex-practice head Ramiro Portocarrero left the firm in November 2024.
