Work highlights
Instructed on Torus’ largest development scheme in the North of England to acquire land for the construction of 120 units for a combination and build price of £43.6 million. The scheme concerned a 170 acre site in Warrington for a land purchase price of £112 million.
Advised on the acquisition by Torus62 Limited of 141 plots from the developer Northstone across two separate sites. The acquisition was a mix of Section 106 affordable homes and additionality units to be provided as affordable housing.
Successfully defending a claim for damages brought by a tenant alleging breaches of the Equality Act and personal injury. Following a multi-track listing, summary judgment was granted immediately ending the litigation against the client.
