The department is co-led by Marinda de Smidt, who specialises in environmental permitting and enforcement for industrial clients, particularly in relation to emissions, energy efficiency, and waste and water law; and Joost Hoekstra, who advises public authorities on compulsory purchase and large-scale development projects.
