With its absorption of the former Sánchez Devanny completed in February 2025, Garrigues has inherited a tax team that also has expertise advising HNWIs and families on wealth management and legal planning regarding the transfer of domestic and international assets. In Monterrey, former managing partner Ricardo León Santacruz is now the tax group coordinator; a veteran practitioner with over 30 years’ experience, he has deep experience of both tax and estate planning. In Querétaro, Abel Mejía has over a decade’s partner-level experience in private wealth matters, including pre-migration tax planning to other countries, international patrimonial structures incorporating corporate-family governance protocols, and inheritance transmission.
